Firefighters battle blaze at two outbuildings in Cassville

CASSVILLE, N.J. — Fire crews from Cassville Volunteer Fire Company #1 and Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department quickly responded to a fire involving two outbuildings behind a residence on Tuesday evening, officials said.

Chiefs 5600 and 5610 arrived first at the scene and confirmed a working fire affecting both structures. Firefighters from Engine 5618 deployed two hose lines to contain and extinguish the flames. Units 5601 and 5625 arrived shortly after to assist in fully suppressing the fire.

Additional units assigned to the incident were redirected to provide district coverage while crews remained on-site.

The local Fire Bureau responded to the scene to investigate the fire’s origin and cause.

Firefighters operated for approximately an hour before returning to their stations without injuries.
