Mays Landing, NJ – Multiple fire departments responded early Friday morning to a structure fire on Highland Drive in Hamilton Township, officials said.
Police said they were called to the 400 block around 3:41 a.m. for reports of a house fire.
All occupants had safely evacuated the residence before officers arrived.
Fire quickly brought under control
Crews from the Mays Landing, Laureldale, and Cologne Fire Departments worked together to extinguish the blaze while the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad assisted at the scene. Officials said the occupants were not displaced and were permitted to return to their home after the fire was contained.
There were no reported injuries among residents or first responders.

Cause of fire under investigation
Investigators are working to determine what sparked the early morning fire. The Township of Hamilton Police Department and local fire officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
