Towson, MD – Baltimore County Police announced the arrest of a 29-year-old man in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles across the Dundalk area following a two-month investigation.
Detectives identified the suspect as Michael Williams, who has been linked to at least 25 separate thefts committed between October 8 and December 11.
Williams was taken into custody Thursday by members of the Dundalk Investigative Services Team and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Community surveillance helped identify suspect
According to police, detectives worked closely with local residents who provided home security footage that helped investigators identify and track the suspect. During the course of the investigation, officers also recovered a stolen handgun that had recently been reported missing from a vehicle.
Authorities said all of the thefts involved unlocked cars, underscoring the importance of securing personal property.

Police remind residents to lock vehicles
Detectives are urging residents to always lock their cars and remove valuables when parked. “Each of these incidents involved vehicles that were left unlocked,” officials said in a statement.
