First It Was White Dudes, Now It’s Chris Christie For Kamala

August 4, 2024

MORRISTOWN, NJ (OP-ED) Alright, folks, grab your popcorn because the 2024 election saga just got a whole lot juicier. In a twist that feels straight out of a reality TV show, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie seems to be giving off vibes that he wouldn’t mind seeing Vice President Kamala Harris take the win over former President Donald Trump. Yes, you heard that right.

These vibes have been present since he was passed over by Trump in 2016, and since Trump has pretty much shunned the former governor.

Chris Christie, who officially entered and then withdrew from the 2024 presidential race, has been less than shy about his critiques of Trump. From calling out the ex-president’s handling of the January 6th Capitol riot to lambasting his ongoing legal battles, Christie has been on a roll.

His jabs have been about as sharp as a steak knife at Golden Coral.

But what really has everyone talking is Christie’s surprising lack of harsh criticism towards Kamala Harris.

While he’s quick to fire shots at Trump, he’s been surprisingly muted when it comes to Harris. It’s almost like he’s got a secret fan club membership card tucked away somewhere. Is Christie low-key rooting for a Harris victory? The internet sleuths think so.

He spent time this weekend actually defending Harris and continuing his ant-Trump rhetoric.

Why would Christie, a Republican stalwart, be seemingly rooting for a Democrat? Some speculate that it’s all part of a grand strategy to reshape the GOP. By distancing himself from Trump, Christie might be aiming to carve out a new path for the party, one that steers clear of Trump’s controversial legacy. Others think it’s personal—Christie and Trump have had a rocky relationship, to say the least.

It’s almost like he’s the one-man #ChristieForKamala Zoom call.
