Five Arrested in Chester County for Drug Trafficking

October 29, 2024

West Chester, PA- The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced the recent arrests of five individuals involved in the Bad Bunny Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO). David Arroyo, Miguel Jorge-Ortiz, Neil Perez, and Jose Guzman, all from Philadelphia, were apprehended on Thursday. Curtis Lake faces charges of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death and other related charges, arrested on a later date.

The arrests followed a year-long investigation into fentanyl trafficking in Philadelphia and Chester counties. On September 13, law enforcement executed twelve search warrants across nine locations and on three vehicles. This operation resulted in the seizure of 1.5 kilograms of bulk fentanyl, 2 kilograms of bulk cocaine, $25,000 in cash, 2 assault rifles, 3 handguns, and over 1,500 baggies of fentanyl.

This investigation began after a fentanyl overdose death last year in Phoenixville Borough, involving heroin/fentanyl stamped with a “Bad Bunny” label. The investigation implicated several drug dealers, including Mousa Hawa and Herman McMullen, leading to significant seizures with the aid of the Chester County Detectives HIDTA Unit.
