A jackpot winner and two Scratch-Off players turned February into a life-changing month with prizes ranging from $1M to $21.5M
ORLANDO, Fla. — A Florida LOTTO jackpot winner and two Scratch-Off players collected more than $27.5M in prizes during February, with winning tickets sold in Clermont, Miami Gardens and Rockledge, according to the Florida Lottery.
The largest prize went to 61-year-old Primitivo Batista of Clermont, who claimed a $21.5M FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot from the February 4 drawing.
Batista chose a one-time lump-sum payment of $11.75M and claimed the prize at the Florida Lottery’s Orlando District Office on February 9.
The winning ticket was purchased at BJ’s Wholesale Club, located at 2577 S. U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont.
In South Florida, Montrez Harris, 53, of Miami, claimed a $5M top prize from the 200X THE CASH Scratch-Off game on February 13.
Harris elected to receive a one-time lump-sum payment of $2.78M.
The winning Scratch-Off ticket was purchased at Raceway, located at 3695 N.W. 183rd Street in Miami Gardens.
Another major winner emerged from Florida’s Space Coast.
Debra Winters of Cocoa claimed a $1M prize from the $25,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game on February 18 at the Orlando District Office.
Winters chose a one-time lump-sum payment of $638,100.
Her winning ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 3820 Murrell Road in Rockledge.
The Florida Lottery said FLORIDA LOTTO has awarded more than $11B in prizes since launching in 1988 and has created more than 1,100 millionaires.
Lottery officials also noted that the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $50B to education programs throughout the state since its inception.
