Late-night shooting leaves pair injured in Baltimore

Police say the victims were found on Elgin Avenue after being shot at a different location nearby

BALTIMORE, Md. — Two men were wounded in an early morning shooting in Northwest Baltimore after gunfire erupted on North Edgewood Street, according to police.

Baltimore Police said Northwest District officers responded at approximately 12:50 a.m. Friday to the 2800 block of Elgin Avenue for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a 20-year-old man and a 33-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to area hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

A preliminary investigation determined the victims were shot while in the 3100 block of North Edgewood Street before being found on Elgin Avenue.

Investigators have not released information about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting.

Northwest District detectives are continuing to investigate.
