YONKERS, NY – Firefighters spent Friday night battling a massive four-alarm fire at 160 School Street, as flames tore through the structure and forced road closures throughout the area.
The Yonkers Fire Department worked through the night to bring the blaze under control, while Yonkers police assisted with traffic control, scene management, and stood by for any needed medical response. Officials urged residents to stay clear of South Broadway, New Main Street, and surrounding areas to allow emergency crews to operate safely.
No injuries were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
