GREENBELT, MD – A multi-agency warrant operation led to the arrest of a fugitive early Wednesday morning in the 7800 block of Lake Crest Drive, according to the Greenbelt City Police Department.
Authorities said the operation, which began around 6 a.m., was a coordinated effort between Greenbelt, Laurel, and Hyattsville police officers. The fugitive, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken into custody without incident.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community and that the area has returned to normal activity. Details regarding the nature of the warrant and the charges against the suspect were not immediately available.
