Fayette County Sunoco sells life changing $10000 a month for life scratch off
WHARTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A $5 scratch-off ticket sold at a Sunoco along National Pike has secured a top prize of $10,000 a month for life for a Pennsylvania Lottery player in Fayette County.
The winning $10,000 a Month for Life ticket was purchased at Sunoco JG Service Stations, 4142 National Pike in Wharton Township. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the top-prize ticket.
The $5 game offers winners the choice between receiving $10,000 each month for life or selecting a one-time cash option of $1.6 million, less applicable withholding. Lottery officials did not release information about the ticket holder.
Scratch-off tickets are distributed at random across the state. The Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold and only learn the location after a prize has been claimed.
Scratch-off prizes expire one year from the game’s end-sale date posted at palottery.com. Winners are advised to sign the back of their ticket immediately and contact the Lottery to begin the claims process.
All Lottery prizes exceeding $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding. Players can review rules, odds and additional information on the Pennsylvania Lottery website.
For one Fayette County player, a routine stop at a Wharton Township Sunoco has now turned into a guaranteed monthly payout that could last a lifetime.
