Gunman Dead in Apparent Suicide After Double Shooting

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a double shooting that took place on Thursday evening at around 6 p.m. The shooting occurred near the intersection of Deer Park and Wards Chapel roads, following a custody exchange between the female victim and adult male suspect involving their 2-year-old son.

The suspect forced the victim’s vehicle to a stop as she and her child attempted to leave the location. The suspect then approached the vehicle and shot into it, injuring both the mother and the child. The victims sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both are reported to be in stable condition.

Later, the suspect was found at his residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation continues as authorities gather more information regarding the circumstances surrounding the case.
