Hartsville, SC – A Hartsville woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend on New Year’s Day. Robin Todd, 53, faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to authorities.

The incident took place early on January 1 at a residence on Logan Avenue. Officers responded to a 911 call just after midnight and found the victim outside, holding his chest and stating he had been stabbed.

Law enforcement attempted to contact Todd at the home, but she reportedly refused to come outside. After knocking multiple times, police claims she said, “Go on somewhere, I am not coming out,” and then turned off the lights.

Eventually, authorities gained access to the residence, where they discovered Todd in bed and arrested her. She was transported to a hospital after complaining of pain.

While at the hospital, Todd allegedly made comments about the stabbing, asking, “If I stabbed him, did you find any blood?” She further stated, “If I did stab him, he wasn’t supposed to be at my house anyway.”

The arresting officer noted that in previous encounters, Todd had mentioned allowing the victim to stay at her home. Court records indicate Todd has faced numerous criminal charges since 2015.

Todd is currently being held in the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center without bond.
