A lucky New York Lottery player purchased a $50,000-winning Double Play ticket for Monday night’s Powerball drawing.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A New York Lottery player is holding a $50,000 winning Powerball Double Play ticket after it was sold in Newburgh for the June 29 drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh.
Double Play is a $1 add-on feature to Powerball that gives players a second chance to win using the same numbers played in the regular Powerball drawing.
The Double Play drawing is held approximately 30 minutes after each Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Prizes range from $7 to a top prize of $10 million.
New York Lottery officials did not release information about the winner.
