Federal immigration authorities arrested a man in New Jersey earlier this month who is facing multiple pending charges, including rape and sexual offenses involving a minor, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Newark officers took Modesto Anacleto Ramirez into custody on March 15. Officials said Ramirez, a Mexican national, had previously been removed from the United States and was again present in the country at the time of his arrest.

Authorities confirmed Ramirez is currently facing a series of pending criminal charges. These include three counts of rape, as well as allegations of sexual conduct against a child, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, assault, and child endangerment.
