Jackson resident calls out illegal dumping of construction debris near home

JACKSON, N.J. – A Jackson Township resident is demanding action after discovering a pile of construction materials illegally dumped next to her property off Jackson Mills Road earlier this week.

The homeowner said the debris, which appears to consist of bathroom renovation materials, was discarded in a wooded area adjacent to her property. According to her account, she contacted township officials and was told to leave a message for code enforcement, which may not respond until Monday.

The resident said her husband had kept the area blocked off for years to prevent dumping, but the barrier was removed when Jersey Central Power & Light performed maintenance in the area. Despite his request for the area to be resecured, it was left open, and someone used the spot to illegally discard building waste.

The resident is now asking anyone who recognizes the debris or believes it may have come from a contractor’s project to contact Jackson Township Police. She also urged local officials to remove the material and restore a barrier to prevent future dumping.

If you have any information call the Jackson Police Department non-emergency number or code enforcement.
