Jackson Township dominates Queen of the East Girls Wrestling Tournament

Jackson Township, NJ – Jackson Township High School wrestlers captured three individual titles and the overall team championship on their home mat at the Queen of the East tournament, while Kingsway Regional’s Reagan Roxas etched her name into New Jersey wrestling history by becoming the first four-time winner of the prestigious event.

Held December 20–21 at Jackson High School, the 2025 Queen of the East once again showcased the depth of New Jersey girls wrestling talent, drawing top competitors from across the region. Jackson Township led the final team standings with 111 points, followed by Central Regional with 84 and Gloucester City with 83.

Jackson’s Ava Bonilla (100 lbs), Madison Rucci (107 lbs), and Marlowe Donato (114 lbs) each claimed individual titles, securing the host team’s dominant victory. Their consistent performances across multiple weight classes helped Jackson outpace rivals Point Pleasant Boro and Central Regional in one of the most competitive tournaments of the winter season.

The individual spotlight, however, belonged to Roxas, who captured her fourth career Queen of the East crown at 126 lbs with a commanding performance that solidified her place among the state’s all-time greats. Her unprecedented achievement drew cheers from the crowd and admiration from competitors statewide.

Other champions included Madison Blumenthal (Bordentown-Florence, 120 lbs), Sheyna Cruz (Paulsboro, 132 lbs), Lamiah Berry (Absegami, 138 lbs), Charlize Schlam (Point Pleasant Boro, 145 lbs), Fatina Lozier (Pennsauken, 152 lbs), Eliza Toth (Point Pleasant Boro, 165 lbs), Samantha Domask (Palmyra, 185 lbs), and Gabriella Maldonado (Gloucester City, 235 lbs).

Finals appearances by Brooke Pettet (Eastern), Angelina Mejia (Elizabeth), Jaliyah Richards (Scotch Plains-Fanwood), Cecilia O’Cone (Point Pleasant Beach), Samirah Duron (Egg Harbor Township), Ashley Willis (Gloucester City), Valeria Ramirez (Elizabeth), Elizabeth Ostoyic (Delsea), Zahily Avery (Williamstown), Liliana Alicea (Central Regional), Jeveah Turner (Rancocas Valley), and Tatiyonna Crawford (Pennsville) highlighted the statewide strength and growth of girls wrestling.
