Jackson woman former teacher admits to sexually assaulting teen student

Freehold, NJ – The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says a former intermediate school teacher has admitted to sexually assaulting a teenage student, concluding a nearly two-year investigation that exposed a prolonged pattern of abuse.

According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, 45-year-old Allison Havemann-Niedrach of Jackson Township pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree aggravated sexual assault before Superior Court Judge Jill G. O’Malley. Havemann-Niedrach, who formerly taught at Freehold Intermediate School, was arrested in June 2024 after investigators determined the abuse began in January of that year and continued for about six months.

A Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted Havemann-Niedrach in March 2025 following an investigation led by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and the Freehold Borough Police Department. Prosecutors said she used her position as a teacher to exploit the victim during that period.

Sentencing is set for May 7, 2026. The state intends to seek a 12-year prison sentence, forfeiture of public employment, permanent surrender of her teaching license, Parole Supervision for Life, and mandatory sex offender registration under Megan’s Law. Under the No Early Release Act, Havemann-Niedrach must serve 85 percent of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki, Director of the Special Victims Bureau, is handling the case. The defendant is represented by attorney Matthew Mordas of Freehold. Investigators are asking anyone with additional information about Havemann-Niedrach’s conduct to contact the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau at 800-533-7443.
