Anne Arundel County Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a smoke shop at knifepoint Saturday afternoon in Glen Burnie. The suspect fled the scene with merchandise before officers arrived.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported robbery at the Gold Smoke store located at 7387 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. Police said the suspect entered the business and began acting disorderly before suddenly charging at an employee while brandishing a knife.

The employee was not injured during the encounter and managed to avoid contact with the weapon. The suspect then grabbed several items from the store’s merchandise and escaped through the back door.

Responding officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. No description of the individual has been released, and it remains unclear what items were taken.
