A Pennsylvania Lottery player is holding a jackpot-winning Treasure Hunt ticket worth $145,327.50 after matching all five numbers in Monday’s midday drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at Hacc’s Beer Store, located at 1200 Horseshoe Pike in Downingtown, Chester County. For selling the ticket, the retailer will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery.
The winning numbers for the May 5 drawing were 2, 10, 15, 21, and 28. The ticket matched all five numbers to win the game’s top prize. As of Tuesday, the winner had not yet come forward to claim the prize, which is subject to standard federal and state withholding.
According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, more than 48,800 other tickets won prizes in the same drawing. Players are reminded to check every ticket, every time, as even small matches can result in winnings.
Treasure Hunt drawings occur daily and have been a staple of the Pennsylvania Lottery since launching in May 2007.
Chester County win highlights growing Treasure Hunt popularity
Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Any winning ticket purchased in-store must be signed immediately to establish ownership. Winnings from online purchases are automatically credited to the player’s account following validation.
The Treasure Hunt game allows players to choose five numbers from 1 to 30, with a jackpot awarded to any ticket matching all five drawn numbers. Additional prizes are given for matching two, three, or four numbers.
Chances of winning the jackpot are 1 in 142,506, and the overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 5.45. Tickets are sold until 1:05 p.m. daily, with the draw occurring shortly after and results posted to palottery.com.
Hacc’s Beer Store now joins a list of Pennsylvania Lottery retailers that have helped deliver substantial prize money to players across the state.
