Landscaper lands $50K prize on favorite scratch-off game

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Montgomery County man is celebrating a $50,000 win after playing one of his favorite Maryland Lottery scratch-off games, Bonus Bingo X20 2nd Edition.

The lucky player, a landscaper from Gaithersburg, purchased the $10 ticket while stopping for gas at Lake Forest Exxon, located at 448 North Frederick Avenue. He scratched the ticket later that day at home and uncovered the prize.

He claimed the win on May 22 after securing the ticket and checking the Maryland Lottery’s website for instructions on how to collect large prizes. The ticket marks the third $50,000 prize claimed in the current edition of the Bingo-themed game.

The player told lottery officials he plans to use the prize money to pay off bills and save the rest. Bonus Bingo X20 still has four $50,000 prizes remaining, along with three top prizes of $500,000 and dozens of other five-figure prizes.

The Maryland Lottery continues to offer a wide selection of themed scratch-off tickets, with updated prize availability listed online.
