Suspected drug deal busted in Glen Burnie parking lot leads to arrest
GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A late-night suspected drug deal in a Glen Burnie parking lot ended in an arrest after detectives moved in and uncovered a stash of pills and cash, officials said.
The incident unfolded around 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Crain Highway South, where members of the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team said they observed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
Investigators conducted a traffic stop shortly after and detained the suspect without incident.
During the stop, authorities said they recovered 11 sealed packages of suspected Suboxone, four suspected Oxycodone pills and $2,519 in cash believed to be tied to drug activity.
The suspect, identified as Ryan Lamar Holliday Jr., 26, of Brooklyn Park, was taken into custody and charged in connection with the incident.
Officials have not released additional details about the charges.
