Linden police continue investigation into juvenile hit and run, seeking witnesses

LINDEN, NJ – Linden police are working overtime to identify a hit and run driver that struck a juvenile last week.

On Thursday January 20, 2022, The Rahway Police Department responded to a report of a hit and run accident, where a female juvenile pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Stone Street. The incident occurred between the hours of 07:00 AM and 07:08 AM. The vehicle is believed to be a black colored vehicle (Possibly a sedan- No known make/model at this time), which was traveling south on Madison Avenue. The driver is described to be a white male, approximately 20 years of age, who was observed wearing a green colored jacket.

The Rahway Police Department is actively reviewing video to identify the suspect vehicle, but we are requesting your help. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any other information that might aid this investigation, is asked to contact Traffic Sergeant Michael Twerdak at 732-827-2179 or email traffic@rahwaypolice.com.
