Linden Police Make Arrest in Domestic Stabbing Case

*LINDEN, NJ – At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 200 block of Grant Street in Linden following reports of a stabbing. According to initial reports, a 20-year-old woman was stabbed during a domestic disturbance. She received medical treatment at the scene and was transported to Newark University Hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

Kyeshon Downer, 22, of Linden, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, third-degree terroristic threats, and other related weapons charges. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
