Lucky East Canton player turns a Powerball ticket into a $150K payday

January 30, 2025

EAST CANTON, Ohio — A Powerball ticket sold in East Canton has won $150,000 after the player matched four numbers plus the Powerball and added the Powerplay multiplier, Ohio Lottery officials announced.

The winning ticket was purchased at Top of the Mark Drive Thru, located at 4135 E Lincoln St. The ticket holder selected their own numbers and initially won $50,000, but the 3X Powerplay tripled the prize to $150,000.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 29 drawing were 8, 12, 31, 33, and 38, with the Powerball 18 and a 3X Powerplay. The winner has 180 days to claim their prize.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state.
