Man found dead in Hackensack River near Pulaski Skyway

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead in the Hackensack River beneath the Pulaski Skyway on Tuesday, January 28.

The Jersey City Police Department was notified of a body floating in the river shortly before 4:30 p.m. Responding officers located the man, later identified as Bryan Linington, 49, of Cliffwood, and the Jersey City Fire Department recovered his body from the water. He was pronounced dead at approximately 7:30 p.m.

At this stage, investigators do not believe the death is suspicious. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
