QUEENS, N.Y. — A 55-year-old man was found dead inside a Queens apartment Tuesday evening, prompting an active police investigation, authorities said.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 5 p.m. reporting an aided male at 137-17 70th Avenue.
Upon arrival, police discovered the man unconscious and unresponsive inside the residence.
Emergency Medical Services pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
The man’s identity has not been released pending family notification, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear as authorities work to uncover more details.
