Man Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash on Mt. Pleasant Road in Chesapeake

A man died after suffering critical injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Mt. Pleasant Road, according to Chesapeake Police.

Chesapeake, VA – Chesapeake Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of an adult man early Sunday morning near the 2400 block of Mt. Pleasant Road.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of the crash. When first responders arrived, they found the driver suffering from severe injuries, and medics immediately began life-saving measures.

Driver later dies from injuries

Despite emergency treatment at the scene, the man later succumbed to his injuries, according to the Chesapeake Police Department. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
