Man fatally stabbed in Jersey City; homicide unit investigating

Jersey City, NJ – Authorities are investigating a fatal stabbing that left one man dead Friday afternoon near the intersection of Jersey Avenue, 1st Street, and Maxwell Street.

Police were called to the area shortly after 12:20 p.m. for reports of a stabbing and found a man suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.

The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 1 p.m.
