Man forces way into Silver Spring home in broad daylight robbery

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Police are investigating after a man allegedly broke into a Silver Spring home and demanded property from the resident before fleeing Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Hannes Street at approximately 12:50 p.m. following a report of a robbery.

Investigators determined that the suspect forced his way inside and confronted the resident before leaving the scene.

No injuries were reported, and authorities have not said what, if anything, was taken.

As of Wednesday afternoon, no arrests had been made, and police have not released a description of the suspect.

Montgomery County police continue to investigate the home invasion as they search for the suspect.
