Man Found Inside Crashed Vehicle After Gunfire Rings Out in Raleigh

RALEIGH, NC – A fatal shooting incident in the King Charles neighborhood of east Raleigh is currently under investigation by local police. The event occurred early Saturday morning, around 1:55 a.m., near Highgate Place apartments.

Authorities were alerted to the situation after reports of gunfire near Milburnie Road. Following these reports, an additional witness described a vehicle crashing into a tree.

At the scene, police discovered a man inside the crashed vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The case is being treated as a homicide, yet no suspects have been apprehended at this time.
