Man found shot dead in Riverdale stairwell, PGPD offers $25K reward

PGPD is searching for leads after a New Carrollton man was gunned down in a Riverdale stairwell.

RIVERDALE, MD — Prince George’s County Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Riverdale that claimed the life of a New Carrollton man last week.

The victim, identified as 58-year-old Adeyemi Martin, was found with gunshot wounds in a stairwell in the 6600 block of Riverdale Road on the morning of April 11. Officers responded to the scene around 10:05 a.m. after receiving a report of an unresponsive individual. Martin was pronounced dead on site.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are actively investigating the incident. Authorities have not disclosed any potential motive and no suspects have been publicly identified.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case. Police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Homicide Unit directly at 301-516-2512.
