BALTIMORE, MD. – A man was found shot and later pronounced dead early Saturday morning on West Fayette Street, launching a homicide investigation in Southwest Baltimore, according to police.

Southwest District patrol officers were called to the 2500 block of West Fayette Street at approximately 2:38 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered an unidentified adult man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
