Man Found Shot To Death on D.C. Roadway

WASHINGTON, DC – Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Southeast Washington.

At approximately 1:41 a.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to a report of a shooting in the 3900 block of 1st Street, Southeast. Upon arrival, they found a man in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by DC Fire and EMS to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Metro Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
