Man found stabbed multiple times in d. C. , suspect arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Wednesday night in Southeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident took place around 10:59 p.m. on the 600 block of Malcom X Avenue, where officers found an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim reported that the suspect had approached him asking for money. When he refused, the suspect stabbed him with a sharp object before fleeing the scene on a bus.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.

After investigating the scene, officers identified the bus stop where the suspect exited. A canvass of the area led to the arrest of 56-year-old Michael Hudley of Southeast, D.C. Hudley has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to gather additional details.
