A man was rushed to a hospital after being found shot in Southeast Baltimore but did not survive, police said.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A man died after he was found with a gunshot wound on a Southeast Baltimore street early Tuesday, prompting a homicide investigation.
Officers responded at about 12:14 a.m. to the 3400 block of Leverton Street for a reported shooting, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police have not released the man’s identity, pending notification of family members.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation.
No information about a suspect or a possible motive has been released.
