Toledo man turns $5 lottery ticket into $50K prize

An Ohio man matched all 10 numbers on an OH Keno ticket and is heading on vacation after scoring a $50K win.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A $5 lottery ticket turned into a $50K payday for a Toledo man who matched all 10 numbers on an OH Keno EZPLAY ticket sold at a local business, the Ohio Lottery announced Monday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Bottom Line, located at 2053 Starr Ave. in Toledo.

Lottery officials said the player matched all 10 numbers in the EZPLAY game OH Keno to win the game’s $50K grand prize.

After 26.75% in federal and state taxes, the winner will take home $36,625.

The Ohio Lottery said the winner plans to celebrate by taking a vacation.

OH Keno is one of the Ohio Lottery’s EZPLAY games, which are instant play-style games generated through lottery terminals. The $5 game carries overall odds of winning of 1 in 3.53.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education across the state.
