BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 38-year-old man was fatally shot late Thursday night outside a residential building on Marcy Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said.

At approximately 11:35 p.m. on June 19, officers from the 79th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot in front of 541 Marcy Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

EMS transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made

The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification. No arrests have been made, and no suspect description was immediately available.

The NYPD has launched an investigation and is reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
