BALTIMORE, MD — A man showed up at a local hospital Friday night after being shot while walking through an alley near Bayard Street, prompting an investigation by Southern District detectives.

At approximately 8:16 p.m. on March 21, officers were alerted by hospital staff to a walk-in gunshot victim. The 42-year-old man had been wounded in the hip and was listed in stable condition.

The victim told officers he had been walking in an alley when the shooting occurred. No further details on a suspect or motive have been released.

Detectives from the Southern District responded and took over the case. An investigation is ongoing, and police are seeking tips from the public.
