Man Thwarts Armed Robbery by Multiple Teens in Severn

SEVERN, MD – An attempted robbery incident targeting a citizen has prompted an investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District Detective Unit. The incident occurred at noon on June 15, in the 8200 block of Averill Court, Severn.

The victim, a 47-year-old man, was approached by several teenage male suspects while seated in his vehicle. During the confrontation, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded cash. Reacting swiftly, the victim managed to drive away from the scene, causing the suspects to flee.
