Man wins $128,772 lottery jackpot after work stress relief

ROCKVILLE, MD – A Rockville resident won $128,772 from a FAST PLAY progressive jackpot, which he described as a way to relieve stress after work. The winner, a federal employee, utilizes Lottery games on his commute home to unwind.

He purchased the winning ticket on Saturday, October 12, at the Lottery vending machine located at Aspen Shell in Rockville. After finishing his shift, he decided to spend some leftover change on two scratch-off tickets and one Big Money Doubler ticket.

“Something told me to get two more tickets instead,” he said. Although he had no luck with the scratch-off tickets, he hit the jackpot with the Big Money Doubler.

When he realized he matched the jackpot, he initially could not believe it. He expressed relief at being able to cover home repairs with his prize, stating, “To know that I can now handle this unexpected expense is such a relief.”

In recognition of the sale, the Lottery awarded a $1,000 bonus to Aspen Shell. The business is located at 4101 Aspen Hill Road in Rockville.

This win adds to the excitement of Lottery players in the area, showcasing the potential rewards of taking a chance on games.

The Rockville man now has the means to address urgent home repair needs.
