MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A routine stop at a Lower Manhattan convenience store turned into a winning moment after a TAKE 5 ticket sold in the area matched all five numbers in the New York Lottery’s May 29 midday drawing, giving one player the game’s top prize.

The winning ticket was sold at GURIAS NY INC, located at 65 Nassau St., Space 102, in Manhattan, according to the New York Lottery.

Lottery officials confirmed the top-prize ticket from the Thursday TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing is worth $19,803.50.

TAKE 5 is drawn from numbers one through 39 and features two daily televised drawings at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes from New York Lottery draw games.
