Five second-chance winners traveled to Los Angeles for a VIP trip that included a game show taping and additional cash prizes.
BALTIMORE, Md. — Five Maryland Lottery players traded their scratch-off tickets for a Hollywood adventure after winning a VIP trip through the Lottery’s Let’s Make a Deal second-chance promotion.
The winners from the 2025 promotion each received a four-day trip for two to Los Angeles that included round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, $1,660 in spending money and a guided tour of the city.
During the trip, the winners visited several well-known Southern California landmarks, including the Hollywood Sign, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills and Burbank.
The highlight of the trip came when the group attended a taping of the television game show Let’s Make a Deal. Dressed in costumes including a bumblebee, pirate, barista, chef and toy cowgirl, the Maryland winners joined the studio audience and became part of the show’s experience.
“From the excitement of finding out we won to being part of the live show atmosphere, this experience created memories that we will cherish forever and reminded us that sometimes taking a chance can lead to something truly extraordinary,” winner Rahshena Felder-Dorsey said in a statement released by the Maryland Lottery.
In addition to the trip, each winner received an extra cash prize based on the outcome of the contestant they were paired with during the taping.
The additional prize winners were:
- Carolyn Perkins of Forest Heights: $3,000
- Wallace Thrash of Clinton: $2,000
- Keyna Fisher of Cambridge: $2,000
- Rahshena Felder-Dorsey of Randallstown: $2,000
- John Barnes of Upper Marlboro: $1,000
The Let’s Make a Deal second-chance promotion gave eligible scratch-off players the opportunity to enter non-winning tickets for a chance to win the Hollywood experience.
