Laurel, MD – An anonymous lottery player, identifying himself as “Alex the Great,” has won the $100,000 top prize on the 8th Edition of the $100,000 Crossword game.

“Alex the Great” expressed his happiness to Lottery officials when he claimed his prize last week, stating he cannot stop smiling. He has been an avid lottery player for years and enjoys the diverse gameplay offered by different lottery games.

On the day of his fortunate win, “Alex the Great” visited All Saints Liquors in Laurel to purchase snacks and drinks for his family. During his visit, he decided to buy a few scratch-off tickets. After enjoying a meal at home, he scratched off the tickets and realized he had a winning ticket, but he was uncertain of the prize amount. He returned to the retailer, where he discovered he had won the $100,000 top prize. He described the moment as shocking, noting that his previous largest win was only a few thousand dollars.
