Silver Spring retiree wins Olympic trip in Maryland Lottery Keno promotion
SILVER SPRING, MD – A retired banker from Silver Spring has been selected as the first winner of a VIP trip to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles through the Maryland Lottery’s Keno Team USA second-chance promotion.
Barbara Henderson secured the all-expenses-paid trip by entering Keno tickets into the Lottery’s My Lottery Rewards program. Her prize package includes round-trip airfare for two, five nights of deluxe hotel accommodations, tickets to four Olympic events, ground transportation, meals, $1,000 in spending cash, and official Team USA apparel.
Henderson, who plans to take her daughter with her to California, is one of five total winners who will be chosen through the ongoing promotion. She intends to attend gymnastics and track and field events while in Los Angeles.
The promotion allows Maryland Lottery players to submit both winning and non-winning Keno tickets for a chance to win Olympic trips or Team USA merchandise. Each $1 entered counts as one entry.
Additional prize drawings will be held on January 27, February 3, February 10, and February 23. Other prizes include official Team USA merchandise such as LA28 retro stripe t-shirts and Nike Ripstop adjustable hats.
The Keno Team USA second-chance promotion is part of Maryland Lottery’s Olympic-themed campaign leading up to the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
