Massive Indictment Targets Bronx “Slaughtery” Gang for Series of Violent Crimes

BRONX, N.Y. – The Bronx District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the New York City Police Department, has announced a sweeping indictment against 20 individuals, including five teenagers, associated with the “Slaughtery” gang. The gang members are implicated in a violent spree that spanned four years, involving 14 shootings, a courthouse slashing, and numerous other violent crimes across various neighborhoods in the Bronx.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark detailed the crimes as taking place along a half-mile stretch of the Grand Concourse, describing the area as a “corridor of carnage.” The indictment includes charges ranging from conspiracy and attempted murder to first-degree robbery and assault. The offenses trace back to June 2020, with several defendants being minors at the onset of their alleged criminal activities.

One notable incident involved Feenix Charley, who is accused of slashing a rival gang member inside the Bronx Hall of Justice, boasting about the attack on social media. The indictment also describes multiple shootings where innocent bystanders were injured, emphasizing the reckless disregard for civilian safety by the gang members.

The extensive investigation led by the Bronx District Attorney’s Violent Criminal Enterprise Bureau and the NYPD’s Gun Violence Suppression Division has culminated in a 176-count indictment. The defendants are accused of using social media to threaten rivals and promote their gang activities, including posting Drill rap videos that glorify their criminal actions.
