Passenger dies after two car collision at McKeesport intersection

MCKEESPORT, PA — A Saturday night crash involving a Dodge caravan and a Honda Accord at the intersection of 28th Street and Rockwood Street left one passenger dead and multiple people hospitalized as investigators began reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The crash occurred at about 8:50 p.m. on February 14. First responders arrived to find the Dodge caravan carrying two adults and three children, along with the Honda Accord carrying two adults. An adult and a child from the caravan were taken to a nearby hospital and listed in stable condition. The two adults in the Accord were also transported, and the passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver was listed in stable condition.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide and Collision Reconstruction Unit has opened an investigation and is awaiting laboratory results before the case is forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review. Officials noted that details may change as new information is confirmed.
