This affectionate XL Bully gives both paws, walks beautifully and wants nothing more than a person of his own
JACKSON, NJ – Munson may weigh 125 pounds, but the approximately 4-year-old XL Bully is winning hearts at the Ocean County Animal Facility with the things that matter most — affection for people, good manners, a playful personality and a desire to stay close to the humans he trusts.
Friends of Northern Ocean County Animal Facility is highlighting Munson as he waits for the opportunity to leave shelter life behind.

Munson is described by his advocates as a people dog through and through. He enjoys being close to humans, leaning into them for affection and soaking up attention.
When it is time for a walk, Munson may initially leave his kennel with a burst of excitement. Give him a moment to settle, however, and his advocates say a different side quickly emerges.
He becomes calm, connected to his handler and walks beautifully alongside them.
Munson already knows how to sit and has another move that makes it difficult not to smile — he proudly offers both paws.
He also loves playing with a ball and has a goofy side that regularly comes out during playtime.
There is good news beyond his personality.
Munson has passed all of his behavioral assessments, according to his advocates.
He has shown no resource guarding and is already crate trained.
His medical needs have also been addressed. Munson is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and he has tested negative for heartworm.
His advocates say he also heads outside and takes care of business right away.
At approximately 4 years old, Munson needs an experienced home capable of handling a dog of his size. He must be the only pet in the household and should not be placed with young children.
For the right household, his advocates describe a dog capable of forming a close bond with his person.
Friends of Northern Ocean County Animal Facility says rescue support is available for Munson, but an appropriate foster placement is needed to help make his move from the shelter possible. The group is also seeking assistance from a qualified 501(c)(3) rescue that can help coordinate his placement.
