Monroeville Man Charged in Swissvale Assault

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA—The Allegheny County Police Department has charged Vance Hall, a 40-year-old Monroeville resident, in connection with an assault that occurred in Swissvale.

The incident took place around 8:50 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, when an adult male was discovered unconscious in a vehicle at 1915 McCague Street.

Swissvale Police, upon finding the victim in critical but stable condition, sought the expertise of the County’s Homicide Unit. Detectives launched an investigation, uncovering that the victim had been beaten and robbed in the parking lot outside a business.

Investigative efforts, which included witness interviews and surveillance footage, pointed to Hall as the assailant. It was revealed that Hall and the victim had prior business interactions, during which Hall reportedly issued multiple threats.

Hall was arrested on May 29 and faces charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and robbery.
