Tewksbury, NJ – In a coordinated effort, law enforcement agencies across New Jersey successfully apprehended several suspects involved in an armed robbery on February 3. Troopers from the New Jersey State Police’s Troop “B” Somerville Station and Perryville Station, along with officers from the Newark Police Department, Tewksbury Police Department, and Readington Police Department, were instrumental in the operation.

The pursuit began when the Newark Police Department followed a vehicle associated with the suspects westbound on Interstate 78. The chase led to the area of I-78 east milepost 25.4 in Tewksbury, Hunterdon County, where the vehicle came to a halt and six suspects fled on foot.

With the aid of the K-9 and Aviation units, a brief but intense search ensued, culminating in the capture of all suspects. Additionally, a firearm was recovered during the operation.
