WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Police in Wall Township made several arrests over the past week, including multiple drunk driving charges, drug offenses, and outstanding warrants.

The arrests were recorded between October 13 and October 19 as part of routine patrols and traffic stops across several state highways.

Officers reported no injuries or major incidents during the week’s enforcement activity.

DWI arrests lead weekly blotter

Police say Patrolman Tyler Martin arrested Lopez Acevedo, 36, of Howell, early Friday morning after a traffic stop on State Highway 138. Acevedo was charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. He was processed and released under John’s Law.

Later that same night, Patrolman Kyle Pelech arrested George Kretzu, 70, of Wall, for DWI after a stop on Belmar Boulevard around 11:16 p.m. Kretzu was also released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Sunday, Pelech made another DWI arrest, charging Eduardo Bustamante-Ferrer, 29, of Jackson, following a stop on State Highway 138 around 2:10 a.m.

Narcotics charges and local investigations

On Saturday, Patrolman Clint Forgach stopped a vehicle on State Highway 34 and arrested Alhaddudi Powell-Thompson, 30, of Newark, for distribution of marijuana and possession of ecstasy. Powell-Thompson was processed and released on a summons.

That same day, Patrolman John Kelly arrested Michael Vence, 50, of Brick, for possession of heroin following an investigation on Alicia Drive. Vence was released on a summons after processing.

Warrants and obstruction charges

Friday also saw the arrest of Steven Hilton, 41, of Wall, who was wanted on a Brick Township warrant. Patrolman McKay charged Hilton with obstruction and resisting arrest before transporting him to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

Shoplifting arrest opens the week

The week began Tuesday when Patrolman Alfredo Flores arrested Terrence Jones, 41, of Neptune, for shoplifting from Walgreens on State Highway 35. Jones was processed and taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
